I love jungling in League of Legends. It’s alot of fun to go roaming around, leveling up, looking for the perfect opportunity to gank the opposing team. Now when I’m not too sure what to go or if I feel that my build could use some work I always check on what Stonewall is doing. In Season One, he not only showed people that there was more to some champs than meets the eye. He freakin’ re wrote the book on how to jungle.
I remember where if you didn’t play Warwick jungle, you were a noob. Then I saw a jungle fiddlesticks and my jaw pretty much dropped. I thought that was the greatest idea ever. Fiddlesticks can life drain the crap out of every thing and end up with all his health after killing a whole creep camp. His Ultimate is also the best ambush mechanism, combined with flash, you can land almost anywhere you want. I started seeing more and more champs move over to being possible junglers. I asked people where they were coming up with these ideas and they said they saw this dude on Youtube lay everything out for them real nice and pretty and all they were doing was just following what he did.
I looked him up and started using some of his more plausible champion builds to jungle with, it was amazing how well some of these champions worked then, like two of my favorites, Malphite and Nasus. I started watching some of the crazier champions that while, not a really viable option in a real game, it was cool to see it could be done, like jungle Karthus!
Now that Season Two has arrived and the jungle has been revamped, this leaves an opening for new champions. I was messing around with Poppy in the jungle just before I wrote this! Bottom line is you should go check out Stonewall008’s videos on Youtube if you need help on what to build or what masteries to go or even where to go camp wise first! Check him out!
Now for those of you guys who don’t know what the hell I’m talking about but think League Of Legends is a cool game that you might want to play, sign up here!
Between not having power and not being in the state I live in within the last week and a half, it’s been kind of difficult to post anything of relevance about video games with out actually playing anything (unless you want to hear me yell at you to buy Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga or Partners in Time, but seriously…. if you have money laying around…..you should…….). While I was at Comic Con a few weeks ago, I did pick up the new Mega Man comic that Archie Comics has been putting out, AND IT’S AWESOME.
There’s not ridiculous fight scenes or anything but it gives a lot of thought into the story and it seems like this comic will be here to stay. I was really happy to see all the original bosses and they even threw in the ones from Mega Man: Powered Up as well. They have also mentioned hints of Protoman and the X project in the comic which makes me feel like they did a little bit of their homework. I’m a HUGE Mega Man fan so I might just be shocked and over joyed that there’s something like this on the market but I believe its more then that.
I don’t want to talk about it too much because I’ll start giving away the first few issues but if you have ever played a Mega Man game, chances are you’re going to like this comic. You can pick up the first five issues (in paper back) for about ten bucks and the new issues go for about 3 or 4 bucks a piece. For all you Mega Man Fans sad that there are no new Mega Man games coming out, read this comic, this should hold you over for a while.
TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES WILL DELAY THE STREAM UNTIL TOMORROW!
Now I was going to write a whole thing about how awesome this game is, which I’ll do anyway, BUT FIRST I will stream some PAPER MARIO EPICNESS right to your computer screen! If you feel the urge to purchase this while I am playing, you can pick this game up on your Wii Virtual Console for 1000 points (10 Bucks). Any questions, leave them on my twitter.
Sony was hacked again today, this time on a much smaller scale. 90,000 accounts were hacked but this is only .1 percent of Sony’s client base. 60,000 PSN accounts and 30,000 SOE accounts were hacked to take the credits and move them off the account to do other things. On the Sony blog, they gave a statement saying;
“Less than one tenth of one percent (0.1%) of our PSN, SEN and SOE audience may have been affected…Please note, if you have a credit card associated with your account, your credit card number is not at risk. We will work with any users whom we confirm have had unauthorized purchases made to restore amounts in the PSN/SEN or SOE wallet.”
Emails were sent out to all those effected but what I would like to know is why does this keep happening. I understand there will always be someone out there that has the knowledge and the determination to do this how does this multi billion dollar company get hacked(and it seems like they’re being targeted now) while others don’t. What measures can Sony take to stop further abuse of their network?
Thank you to DSO Apparition and Lady Roc DSO for bringing this up!
Today’s throwback is a great game, Kirby’s Dreamland 3 came out in 1997 for the Super Nintendo. While the game played like the other two entries before it, the graphics had a pastel, or crayon feel to them. The games solid in my book, it paces awesome, you really don’t notice the the difficulty increasing as you go along because it raises it so gradually that you’ll maybe only die once or twice on a level to just get your bearings.
If you have never played a Kirby game, here is a good place to start because it gives you everything that Kirby is or was with out adding needless game mechanics(tilting on the GBA or Stylus on the DS) or overly dumb graphics(Wii I’m looking at you). The music and sounds are pretty good for a Super Nintendo game too. I never found myself sitting back and wanting to turn down the sound or anything
If I had any complaints it’s maybe they offer too many different style power ups through out the game. I never felt that I was ever comfortable with any of the different combos to go around and know what I was looking for. I found myself still finding new ones almost right before the game ended. Again this isn’t necessarily a bad thing, one thing this game doesn’t lack is variety but for me personally, when I’m trying to get through a level I’d like to know what minion gives off which power (if any) and how they react with your sidekicks.
I think HAL Labs(of Super Smash Bros fame) hit the nail on the head with a this Kirby entry. The different graphics give a fresh look while the core game play is as good as it ever was. Sucking up minions and taking their power has never been this much fun. If you’re looking for a good Kirby game on the cheap, get one your Wii, go to your virtual console and pick this game up for 800 points!(8 bucks)
Ok guys it’s a nasty day here and since I’m sure maybe some of you don’t have much to do right now, here’s a stream of Kirbys Dreamland 3 which will be featured tommorow in Thursday’s Throwback! If you want to buy this game right away after seeing this, you can go to the Virtual Console on your Wii and pick this up for about 800 points!
So after five days and countless hours of staring at the TV creating my Mega Man themed Audi in Forza Motorsport 4, it’s done. The car probably has some where close to 2000 layers on it if you combine all the sides.
If you guys have any requests let me know and I’ll see what I can muster. For now I’ll be working on Kirby and you guys will be the first to see it when it’s done! If you see the Blue Bomber liscense plate passing ya, don’t forget to keep your eyes on the road and not the car!
